A 130-year-old hotel runs a little differently than a chain. Here's everything worth knowing before you book a stay — and a few of the quirks that make us, us.
Self check-in & check-out
There is no front desk and no staff on site. Head straight to your suite — your keypad entry code arrives by text before you arrive.
Stairs, no elevator
It's a historic building, so there is no elevator. Suites are on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and you'll carry your own luggage up.
Check-in 3pm · Check-out 11am
Arrive any time after 3pm on your arrival day; please be checked out by 11am on departure.
No daily housekeeping
We do not service rooms mid-stay. Need fresh towels or anything else? Just reach out.
Smoke-free everywhere
Suites, patios, balconies, and alleyways are all smoke-free. A minimum $200 charge applies to restore a room.
Smart TVs, no cable
Every suite has a Smart TV with an Amazon Fire Stick — stream your own subscriptions over free high-speed Wi-Fi.
Parking
Park on-street where available, or in the municipal lot behind the hotel off Race/Mill Streets.
No pets
We are unable to accommodate pets at this time.
Policies & Terms
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in is at 3pm on the day of arrival; check-out is at 11am on the day of departure. Ours is a self check-in / self check-out hotel — there is no front desk or staff on site to assist. Upon arrival, proceed directly to your suite. Our suites do not use keys; each has a keypad lock, and you'll receive your entry code by text message before you arrive.
Occupancy & Children
All rates are based on double occupancy. Each additional guest is $25 per night and requires a roll-away bed. No hourly rates are available. (Our larger suites — like the Vineyard — are built for families and groups; see the suite details for their specific layouts.)
We love kids! Please contact the hotel directly when booking a reservation with children so we can set the room up accordingly. A pack 'n play and kid-themed sheets are available with advance notice.
Accessibility
Our charming historic hotel is located in a building built over 130 years ago, before modern accessibility standards were established. As such, the property does not have an elevator, and all guest rooms are situated on the second and third floors. We recommend that guests be comfortable navigating stairs while managing their own luggage.
Pets
The Naples Hotel does not have accommodations for pets.
Smoking
The Naples Hotel is smoke-free. Smoking is prohibited in all guest rooms and public areas — including patios, balconies, and alleyways. Guests who smoke in non-designated areas are subject to a minimum $200.00 charge to return the room to smoke-free status, and agree to that charge by accepting this policy.
Parking
Parking for overnight guests is on-street (where available) and in the municipal parking lot located behind the Naples Hotel off Race/Mill Streets.
In-Suite Amenities, TVs & Wi-Fi
Please note that we do not offer cable TV. Every suite is equipped with a Smart TV and an Amazon Fire Stick — log into your Amazon account on the TV and open any streaming app you subscribe to (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, and so on). Don't have an Amazon account? Connect your own laptop, tablet, or phone to our free high-speed wireless and use your personal apps. There is no housekeeping service during your stay.
Damage, Usage & Lost Items
We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises, or for unusual cleaning. Damaged or missing items discovered after check-out will be charged to the credit card on file — including but not limited to remote controls, linens, pillows, the room key, and books.
Guest rooms are for hotel guests only — not for events or gatherings. All gatherings, events, photo shoots, and filming are subject to advance approval by the owners. At least seven days' written notice is required prior to any personal or professional photo shoot, and no closed-door filming is allowed. Additional fees and a separate contract apply (this includes wedding-day use). Please call (585) 374-5630 for details. Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum $10 charge and may take up to 15 days to receive. To avoid this, please check your suite thoroughly for anything of value before departure.
Cancellation Policy
As a small independent business, cancellations affect us greatly. All cancellations are subject to a minimum $25 per booked room cancellation fee, applied as follows:
- 72 hours or more before arrival$25.00 administrative fee
- 72 to 24 hours before arrival$75.00 administrative fee
- 24 hours or less before arrivalOne night's stay, or deposit amount
All cancellations must be provided to the innkeeper in writing or by calling (585) 374-5630. Reservations made through online travel agencies (such as Expedia, Booking.com, or Airbnb) will forfeit the entirety of their payment.
Payment & Taxes
- All rates are based on double occupancy.
- Ontario County Sales Tax (3%) and Ontario County Room Occupancy Tax (7.5%) are added to the full reservation cost.
- Direct reservations are confirmed by payment of your first night for a two-night or longer stay, or the full reservation amount for a one-night stay.
- All other channels (e.g. Booking.com) require full payment in advance.
- A security deposit authorization of one night's stay is required at the time of reservation.
- Cash is welcome. We still require a valid photo ID and a credit card on file for incidentals and damage protection.
- We can also accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency — arranged with us directly ahead of your stay. Just reach out and we'll set it up.
